Dr. Warid Altaf is the Head of the Department of Hand & Upper Limb Surgery at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, with specialised expertise in hand surgery, wrist disorders, upper limb trauma, peripheral nerve injuries, microsurgery, and reconstructive procedures. A Gold Medalist in DNB Orthopaedics, he completed his advanced fellowship in Hand Surgery at the renowned Ganga Medical Centre & Hospitals, Coimbatore, one of India’s leading centres for hand and microsurgery. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Altaf is actively involved in research and academics, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputed national and international journals, including the Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports, JBJS Case Connector, Indian Journal of Tuberculosis, Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics & Trauma, and the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He is a regular invited faculty and speaker at national and international conferences, having delivered multiple lectures, chaired academic sessions, and presented over 50 scientific papers across regional, national, and international forums.
