Dr. Sahil Sanghavi is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon practising at Sancheti Hospital in Pune, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery. After completing his MS in Orthopaedics, he went on to earn his DNB in Orthopaedics, and was also awarded the Diploma SICOT degree in Cape Town, South Africa. During his post-residency tenure at Goa Medical College, he conducted numerous free medical camps, serving communities with limited access to healthcare. After initially practising general orthopaedics and trauma, he chose to specialise further in hip and knee joint replacement surgery. Dr. Sahil has trained extensively at prestigious international centres including the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York as a Ranawat Orthopaedic Research Foundation Fellow, Yale University as a Keggi-Kimball International Scholar, the University of Pennsylvania, Endo-Klinik in Hamburg, and the Bordeaux Arthroplasty Research Institute in France. With a strong academic interest, he has presented scientific papers at numerous national and international conferences and was awarded the Best Paper Award at the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society Conference. He has published multiple research papers in leading orthopaedic journals such as CORR, JBJS, and the Journal of Arthroplasty, and is the co-author of the book Total Knee Replacement – A Ready Reckoner. His surgical expertise includes total hip and knee replacements, partial joint replacements, and revision hip and knee replacement.
