Dr. Mahavir S. Dugad is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, with specialised expertise in primary and complex hip and knee replacement, revision arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy, and trauma surgery. After completing his DNB in Orthopaedics, he pursued a MUHS Fellowship in Arthroplasty at Sancheti Hospital and has been associated with the institute as a Consultant Arthroplasty Surgeon since 2017. Dr. Dugad has a keen academic interest in joint replacement, clinical research, and postgraduate teaching, with research focusing on patient outcomes following total knee replacement. He has presented scientific papers at leading national conferences, including POSAC, ISHKS, and AAHKS, and has contributed three textbook chapters to the 3rd APAS Delta Compendium on hip replacement surgery and modern cementing techniques. His practice is dedicated to restoring mobility and improving quality of life through advanced joint preservation and replacement procedures.
